Maravilloso Mexico

What a maravilloso (marvelous) week we've had here at the library visiting "Ancient Mexico!" Look at the slideshow for our travel highlights:
We have searched for Chichen Itza, met animals, played chess, had mini raffles, met new friends, and of course...done a LOT of reading!! We want to say a HUGE thank you to Lori Swanson from Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society, Bogart the dog, and the cutest rats ever (rats cute? who knew?!) Lilly and Bella for teaching about the animal shelter! We really hope to fill up that jar with raffle tickets so that we can donate $100 to Dakin!! Also, big thanks to Dorothy Flieshman of "What's Cooking D?" for hosting a wonderful cooking program. It was so DELICIOUS!

Congratulations to our winners:
Our Flag guessing jar winner is Devon OBer for his guess of 147 flags!! (There were actually 149-so close!)
Our "What in the World food?" winner is Ariana Halon and Sophie Hastings for their guess of "Prickly Pear"!
Our Online Review winner is Dan Kelly for his review of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days"

Congrats!!

Next week we're off to Rome to check out the Colosseum!! And, remember we are closed this Monday (July 4th) to celebrate Independence Day!
