The Harvest Cooking Challenge

Calling all cooks!!! The Children's department invites you to take part in the first ever, "Harvest Cooking Challenge!" 9/20 at 6pm. This is a special cook off for aspiring chefs who would like to compete to be best of the best, and would like to share their creations with others!

Here's how it works: Each cooking child or team creates their own dish that must contain 3 items that we grew this summer in our garden or a produce of the week. Then, the dishes are brought to the library on September 20th at 5:50. At 6pm, all attendees will get to sample all the yummy creations! While everyone is enjoying their food a group of very special East Longmeadow celebrities will score the dishes on taste, originality, and presentation!

This challenge is also the kick off event for our special book sale! All proceeds will go towards the purchase of an early literacy computer.

Do you have what it takes to compete and be crowned the ultimate chef of East Longmeadow? Save the date, dust off the cook books, and get ready for an awesome challenge!

To sign up, or for more information stop by the "Ask Me Desk" at the library.
