Are sugar plums already dancing in your head?


If so, you're not alone! We've been dreaming up all kinds of fun for this festive month! Here is a sneak peak of what's going on in December:

for all ages....

-The "Giving Tree" is back this December! Stop by the children's department to pick up a gift tag and idea for a child living in "The Family Place Shelter". Return the unwrapped gift by Dec. 15th to spread the holiday cheer with those in need. We will also be accepting hats, gloves, and other warm items to donate to the shelter.
-Tree Hunt
go on a scavenger hunt for trees in the children's department all December and we will share a little prize with you!
- Make and Take 12/6-12/10 Create something extra special at the library!
-LEGO Day! 12/28 all day! Stop in the library to create your own "Lego Winter Wonderland". No registration is required. (we provide the LEGOs)

for younger ones....
-Zumbatomic 12/9 at 10:30am for children 3-6 years Join us in welcoming Deborah Loomis from "Dance Amore Studio" for a special demo class of Zumba for kids! Registration is required.
-Music Together 12/14 at 10:30 am for children birth-6yrs
Join us in welcoming Sondra Lewis of Greater Springfield Music Together back for a special demo class. Registration is required.
-Holiday Story Time and Party 12/20 1-2pm for ages 2-6 A special holiday story time about the holidays celebrated this time of year followed by games, crafts, and tons of festive fun!

for older ones....
-Chess Club 12/1 at 4pm for children grades 3-6th Join us for a great game of chess! Registration is required
-Scrabble Club 12/8 at 4pm for children grades 3-6th Like Scrabble? Join the club to play! Registration is required
-The Great Create 12/13 at 4pm for children grades 3-6th Join Ms. Jenny for a special holiday "make-fest"! Dress for a mess and bring your imagination! Registration is required.
