Seriously though, the Columbus Day holiday is this coming Monday, October 11, and the library will be closed. So please plan accordingly! Here's a quick reminder about some of our approaching events:
for parents:
Friday, October 15, 9:30-1:30am, Pathways for Parents, Cindy Milner of the Community Partnership for Children will be here to provide this free informational service for parents of children from birth to school-age.
for children, 6mos. to 2yrs:
Friday, October 15, 10-11am, Crawl Talk, a social play time where kids crawl & parents talk! (Just drop in, no registration necessary).
for preschool children, 3 to 6yrs:
Wednesday nights, PJ Storytime, 6:30pm. (Just drop-in, no registration necessary).
for Grades 1 & 2:
Friday, October 22, 4 - 4:45pm, Scare Up Some Fun! Sign up for this special program of scary stories and activities!
for Grades 3 to 6:
Monday, October 18, 4 - 5pm, The Great Create: Print Power! Sign up for this art workshop and discover cool ways of printing with paint!
Wednesday, October 20, 4 - 5pm, Scrabble Club! Sign up for this time of scrabble-bonanza!
for all ages:
Saturday, October 30, 11am - 1 pm, The Mom's Club Halloween Festival! Wear your costume and come for food, fun, and games! (A fundraiser for the Children's Department, so a small admission fee will be charged.)

for Grades 3 & 4: Tuesday, October 19, 4:30pm, On the Same Page. This month's book is N.E.R.D.S.
for Grades 5 and up: Monday, October 25, 4pm, Tweens Book Group. This month's book is Kingdom Keepers, Book 1.
