One More Week!

Only one more week of Starship Adventure! It's still not too late to sign up; hurry in for your log sheet and GET READING! Click here to check out our slideshow of Week Five Fun. Congratulations to Adam McCarthy for submitting the winning name of our rocketship, "E.L. Flames," and to Kyle LaFleche, for submitting the winning name of our Alien Computer, "Wally".

Coming up in our last week:

-Wednesday, July 29, 10-11:30 am, Out of this World Cartooning with Michael Cady, Ages 8-14. Please call, email, or come in to register.

-Thursday, July 30 at 10:30 am, Mini-raffle Drawing! (Must be here at the library to enter and win).

-In-library activities: Astronaut Photo-op (see how you would look as an astronaut!), Planet of the Week-Neptune, Living in Space: Facts about an Astronaut's Life in Space, Guessing Jar-How many candies are in the jar?, Origami rocketship making + more.
-At Home Mission #3: Build a space machine out of boxes, cardboard, legos, k'nex, whatever! Earn 5 raffle tickets; entries accepted until July 31. Space machines will be displayed in the library.

IMPORTANT DATES!
-Friday, July 31, by 4:30 pm: LAST CHANCE to receive credit for hours read and to get tickets. Be sure to come in to the library before that time as Mission Control will close promptly at 4:30 that day.
-Tuesday, August 11th, 6pm-8pm: Summer Reading Club Skating Party! Starship Adventure participants who have read 10 hours receive an invitation coupon to go to this party at Interskate 91. Winners of the Raffle Prize Packages will be announced at the party! (If you can't come, but are a winner, we will contact you.) Please remember to bring your coupon that night for entry!

And if you are a past winner of one of our drawings, be sure to come in or call us by July 31 to retrieve your 10 raffle tickets!
