We need your help!

In an effort to help control the spread of the H1N1 virus, we have established the following guidelines for the Children's Department at the library:

1. We ask that you and your children stop and use the hand-sanitizer we have made available at the entrance to the department.
We are gratefully accepting donations of hand sanitizer to help us continue this practice.

2. We ask that you remember to cough or sneeze into your elbow.

3. We ask that you keep sick children at home.
This includes siblings. For the welfare of all our library patrons, we would rather have your child miss a program than bring along a sick sibling.

Thank you very much for your cooperation!

Halloween Festival!

This Saturday, October 17, from 11am to 1pm, come to the library for a "howlingly" fun time at the annual Halloween Festival! Presented by the Mom's Club of East Longmeadow and Longmeadow, this event will include face painting, tattoos, games and much more! A $2 donation per child will be donated to the Children's Department Program Fund.

Oh, and don't forget to wear your costume!

A big huge thank you to the Mom's Club for hosting this fabulous fundraiser for us!

Especially for babies and toddlers. . .

Friday mornings at 10 am, we are hosting Crawl Talk--where babies crawl and parents talk! We invite you to come hang out at the library with your infant or toddler; it's a great way to meet other parents and let your child interact with other young children.

And also for babies this Friday, October 9, at 10 am, a special Story Time with BeeBo the Baby Signs Bear--a special sign language program for babies with instructor Velvet St. Amand. No need to sign up ahead of time, just drop in and check it out!
