Hans Christian Andersen's birthday is coming up April 2! He is the author of a zillion fairy tales including The Ugly Duckling, The Princess and the Pea, Thumbelina, The Little Mermaid and The Emperor's New Clothes.

H.C.A. was born in 1805 in Odense, Denmark. He is known as the father of the modern fairy tale because he wrote over 150 original fairy tales. Are you a baker?

Hey, calling all bakers! We're holding our annual Bake Sale on Saturday, April 5, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, and we're looking for bakers extraordinaire! If you are interested in making something to contribute, please call 525-5400 ext. 156 or sign up next time you're here!

A few requests:
- All baked goods should be delivered Friday, April 4 by 5 pm or on Saturday, April 5 between 9 and 10 am.
- If your baked good includes peanut butter or nuts of any kind, please include a note that states this ingredient.
- We would appreciate individual bagging of cookies/brownies.

C'mon, if we all think really hard about spring, maybe it will hurry up and come! I don't know about you, but I'm tired of the winter cold. We have a lot of books about springtime here at the library, so come on in and take a look.

Moms, Grams, & Muffins!

Calling all moms and grandmas who love muffins! Drop in with your child to the Children's Department this Saturday, March 8 at 10:30 am for some stories, muffins, and coffee. Yum yum, fun fun!

Spring Storytime Registration this week!

Hey parents, don't forget that storytime registration for the spring session starts this Wednesday at 9:30 am for residents of East Longmeadow. On Thursday, registration is open to non-residents.

The storytimes that require registration are:
Preschool Storytime: Tuesday, 10:00 am, for ages 3.5 - 6
Preschool Storytime: Tuesday, 1 pm for ages 3.5 - 6
Parents & Twos: Wednesday, 10:30 am for ages 2 - 3.5 with parent
Parents & Twos: Thursday, 10:30 am for ages 2 - 3.5 with parent

No registration is required for the drop-in PJ storytime on Wednesdays, 6:30 pm.
