Yu-Gi-Oh Card Game Workshop with Haven Williams. Monday September 29 from 3:30 - 5:30 for ages 8 - 14. Kids will learn rules, deck-building, trading,a dn playing fantasy card games with thier Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Please bring your own cards if possible. Sign up now!

Go for the Stars! A Multi-Media Space Deomonstration with Gary Polazzo, Monday, October 6 at 6:30 pm. Meet Robo the friendly robot and learn about astronauts and space. Geared for ages 5 and up, but all are welcome. Please register.

Make and Take this Week!

Hey, we've got a Make and Take at the library this week! It's a "Leaf Mobile"--you take a few cut out leaves, some yarn, some tape, some gluestick and a secret ingredient (you'll have to come in to find out what it is!) Put them together and PRESTO! Your very own Leaf Mobile!

Check out some of our new picture books!

We have a whole slew of new picture books for you to read! One of my favorites is Bear Feels Scared by Karma Wilson, pictures by Jane Chapman. It's a story about being lost, being found, being frightened, being comforted, and being safe at home in the company of friends. Don't worry, it all turns out okay!

Storytimes are coming up!

It's time to sign up for fall story times!
Wednesday, September 24 is registration day for our fall story times. They will start the week of October 6 and run for 7 weeks. Here are the options:

Parents & two's (ages 2 to 3-1/2 with a parent), 2 sessions: Wednesdays or Thursdays @ 10:30 am.
Preschool Storytime (ages 3-1/2 to 6): Tuesdays @ 10 am.
Library Babies (ages 6 mo. to 2): Tuesdays @10 am. {this is an informal gathering of parents with their infants, no registration necessary}
PJ Storytime (ages 3-1/2 to 6): Wednesdays @ 6:30 pm {just drop in for this one! no registration needed}

In addition, sign up now for a special story time series, Imagination Celebrations! The very talented Jennifer Couturier will present these themed programs for ages 3-1/2 to 6 on the following Mondays at 1 pm:

September 22 - Animals in Class
September 29 - Pumpkin Patch
October 6 - The Giant's Toe
October 20 - The Royal Summons
November 3 - Frightening Fairy Tales
November 17 - Famous Authors and You
